Bandhan was set up in the year 2001 to meet the cardinal goals of poverty alleviation and women empowerment. There is an entire suite of development programs which are aimed at bringing about holistic transformation in the underprivileged community. The organization works closely with people who live in the lowest echelons of the social system for their socio-economic progress. It constantly tries to broad base its scope of services and minimize areas of income leakage in the underprivileged families. Bandhan-Konnagar is actively engaged in the field of education, health, livelihood promotion, enterprise development, employment generation and the like.

Bandhan identifies skill development for employability as an important strategy in the fight against unemployment. Bandhan is trying to address the need of huge unemployed population by providing appropriate skill in order to make them employable and help them secure decent work. Against this back drop, Bandhan lunches the “Employing the Unemployed”programme in the year 2009 to integrate skill development into unemployment mitigation programme by establishing training center in different part of India. In our Bhubanesawr center, we are currently provide training under four domains; RETAIL,MICROFINANCE,ITES & BPO, LOGISTICS,BANKING.

d background,through our 26 no. of vocational training centers (Guwahati in Assam,Indore in Madhya Pradesh,Patna-Boring Road,Patna-Rajendranagar in Bihar,Bhubaneswar in Odisha,Siliguri,Kulpi,Patuli,Uttarpara, Barasat, Behala,Chandannagar,Ranaghat,Burdwan,Malda,Beherampur,Kharagpur,Midnapur,Tamluk,Kathi,Haldia & Garia in West Bengal and Malbazar,Dhupguri,Maynaguri and Jalpaiguri in North Bengal). Under this program we have covered 25587 no of candidates and out of them 20034 no of candidates have been successfully placed in Pantaloons,Lifestyle,Bigbazar,West side,Godrej,Eureka Forbes,LG,Daikin,KFC,Cafe Coffee Day,Sodexo,ITC fortune,Amazon Pay,Paytm,Bandhan Bank,Axis Security,HHI etc companies.
